Meet Julia, the author behind All Things Cannabis

A Letter to My Readers...

Hi there!

I wanted to introduce myself formally (what you read above is basically my byline) - and then informally, through this letter to my readers. First of all, I want to thank every single one of you for taking the time to read my articles, and for supporting my work!

By supporting me, you are also supporting the gradual end of prohibition as we cannabis industry writers inform, educate, and tell the truth about the cannabis plant to the masses - and hopefully change some opinions along the way.

This website is a sort of crazy reality to me - I never expected to take things in this direction when I first started freelancing, but I'm so happy I have!

I love being a part of something that is making such an impact on the world right now, as medical marijuana starts to replace more modern medicines and we move from a policy of prohibition that turns innocent consumers into criminals to a common sense, responsible and regulated legal industry.

I want All Things Cannabis to be more than just another news source - I want it to be a community, where industry professionals, activists, advocates, consumers and medical patients can come together for the latest news, to promote their products and grow their businesses, provide the best home cultivation advice, share petitions, and so much more!

To be honest, this is a big project to take on myself - which is why I'm turning to you, my loyal readers, to help me make this a reality. Through Patreon I hope to get enough support to help me be able to provide you with this content and more (eBooks, a gift shop, and much more), without wondering where the money to keep the site up and running is going to come from each month.

I want to be able to pay for guest post contributions. I want to be able to hold design contests with cash prizes. I want to be able to pay an editor and social media manager to free up more time for my own writing. I have so many things I want to be able to do here - and with your help, it can all be possible.

If you didn't know, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other usual monetization channels that are open to most bloggers, YouTubers, and other online professionals (like AdSense for example), are not available to those of us in the cannabis industry. This leaves options limited to affiliate sales (like my affiliate CBDPure) and selling your own products (things I hope to include like books, t-shirts, hoodies, etc.), or asking your readers to contribute.

Those of you who help keep ATC running through Patreon will influence what kind of content I produce, how often I can post, and much more. And you'll gain access to my books as they are being written, discounts that are exclusive to Patrons and access to a private Facebook group.

As someone who used to work for a burger chain, who now finds themselves in what is essentially their dream job, I have to thank you - because without my readers, my job as a writer would be pointless.

I appreciate all of you more than you know! Thank you for your continued support!

- Julia Granowicz-Johnson
